HPCL looks for new director finance and HR

Thirteen candidates have been short listed by the PESB to fill the post of director human resources at Hindustan Petroleum following the appointment of Arun Balakrishnan as CMD on 1st April.

PETROWATCH learns eight candidates are from HPCL (six executive directors); one is from BPCL; and four are from GAIL, including R Suresh,who has also applied for the post of director marketing at GAIL. Interviews will be held at the PESB office in Delhi on 25th April at 2:30pm and will continue the following day on 26th April at 10am.

HPCL is also looking for a director finance to replace C Ramulu who retires on 1st February next year.By 6th March, the oil ministry had forwarded the names of 17 candidates: seven from HPCL; four from Indian Oil; two from GAIL; and one each from ONGC, BHEL, NALCO, Madras Fertilisers and telecom company TCIL.

"No date has yet been fixed for the director finance interviews," we hear. "A few more names are likely to be short listed."
