One new director each at IOC and GAIL

BM Bansal is taking additional charge as director business development at Indian Oil following the surprise resignation last week of NK Nayyar who moves to London as CEO of ONGC Mittal Energy, a Cyprus-listed joint venture between ONGC and steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal.

As acting director business development, Bansal will be on familiar territory. He was general manager business development at IOC till April 2002 before taking charge as ED of the Mathura refinery.

Bansal is research and development director at IOC with 30 years experience in petroleum refining. On 2nd November, GAIL announced the appointment of executive director finance RK Goel as its new director finance to replace JK Jain who retired on 31st October.

Goel joined GAIL in 1988 as chief manager finance and accounts and has been ED with GAIL since April 2003. Goel was in Indian Oil for nine years before joining GAIL.
