Work begins to replace IOC and ONGC directors

The oil ministry has begun selecting three new directors at Indian Oil and two new directors at ONGC.

At IOC, director research and development NR Raje retires on 28th February, director finance P Sugavanam on 30th June and director personnel PK Agarwal on 31st July. At ONGC, director exploration YB Sinha retires on 4th May and director technology and field services Nathu Lal retires on 30th April.

Weve asked IOC and ONGC to give us a job description for each director, reveals a source. When we get this we will advertise the post to suitable candidates.

The Public Enterprises Selection Board is also preparing to interview candidates. Oil India has a vacancy for the post of director personnel to replace VK Sibal who was appointed to head the DGH.

There is a proposal to reclassify the job as director personnel and business development, we learn. When the ministry decides interviews will be held for this post also.
