Three vacancies on IndianOil board

Vol 16, PW 24 (27 Jun 13) News in Brief

The hunt is on for the next IndianOil chairman to replace outgoing RS Butola who retires on May 31 next year aged 60.

Not only Butola, but two other serving board directors, RK Ghosh and Dr. RK Malhotra are also stepping down next year.

Interested candidates must send CVs to the PESB by August 5. On June 20, the PESB invited CVs from candidates to replace director (refineries) Ghosh who steps down on June 30, 2014.

On June 21, the PESB also advertised the IOC director (research and development) post which will be vacated when Malhotra retires on June 30, 2014. Candidates for director (refineries) and director (research and development) must send in CVs by August 26.

“There aren’t many EDs (executive directors) eligible for the post of director at our company,” says an IOC source. “For the chairman post we are hearing GAIL chairman BC Tripathi’s name.

Let’s see if he applies.” IOC chairman Butola took charge in February 2011.
