New faces for Shell's Hazira project in India

Marc den Hartog has replaced Martin Foley as the new face of Shell Gas & Power in India.

Based in Delhi, Hartog is a former Shell general manager for southeast Asia. His new responsibility covers Shell's plan to build a 5m t/y terminal at Hazira, and all of Shellsgas and power activities in India, including its interest in the Dabhol power plant.

Nitin Shukla, formally chairman of Gujarat Powergen Energy Corporation's 655-MW power plant at Paguthan, has assumed charge as CEO of the Hazira port and LNG terminal project, covering all three companies incorporated in connection with Hazira: Shell Hazira Gas Private Limited, Hazira Port Private Limited and Hazira LNG Private Limited. Shell tells PETROWATCH Hazira is proceeding on target for first gas to market by mid-2004.
