H-Energy wants Jaigarh design change

Hiranandani Group-promoted H-Energy wants to modify designs at its planned 8m t/y Jaigarh LNG terminal in Maharashtra, for which it has yet to achieve financial closure.

Last month (August), H-Energy asked its Madrid-headquartered EPC contractor Sener to make modifications to the vaporising process of the regasification facilities. “H-Energy is waiting for Sener to confirm the changes before giving its go-ahead to begin work,” we hear.

Sener and partner AFCONs won the $550m EPC contract last October and are responsible for the design, engineering, procurement and all technical matters related to construction. H-Energy meanwhile continues to meet bankers as it tries to raise up to $700m debt.

Hiranandani Group itself will invest $300m in the $1bn project. Jaigarh will be a merchant terminal where companies can bring in LNG cargoes and regassify them by paying tolling charges.
