Reliance buys LNG from Qatargas

Reliance is bringing in a LNG cargo from Qatargas at Hazira on June 26 - its 13th ‘spot’ cargo this year (2014).

Reliance has brought in 11 Q-Flex cargoes over 200,000-cubic metres each and one standard sized cargo this year. Reliance has been India's largest spot importer for the last three years and is averaging two cargoes a month at Hazira.

Our last alert on June 17 reported the arrival of LNG tanker Al Thumama with 142,189-cubic metres LNG from RasGas imported by GSPC at $13.80/mmbtu to $14.30/mmbtu. From May 1 to May 31, India imported 1,046,623-cubic metres of spot, medium and short-term LNG at an average delivered ex-ship price of $14.44/mmbtu.
