Assam asset chief Deuri moves to Mumbai

It must be hard for contractors to develop relationships with ONGC asset officials when they move around so much.

On August 3, ONGC executive director Budhin Deuri, previously Assam asset manager at Nazira till July 31, joined the director offshore office in Mumbai. "Deuri is an engineer from ISM (Indian School of Mines in Dhanbad) and an expert in artificial lift," we hear.

"He was popular at the Assam asset." Meanwhile, Assam and Assam-Arakan basin manager and executive director M. Ayyadurai is preparing to become western offshore basin manager in Mumbai, replacing GC Katiyar who is retiring.

"I'll join third week of August," Ayyadurai tells this report. His achievements include the discovery of a new pool in Upper Assam North near Lakwa in 2016-17 and discoveries at Sufaiyam and Dayalpur in Upper Assam South or the Jorhat Asset, which are now producing.

Separately, GK Singha Roy, 58,took over as Tripura asset manager on July 31, replacing SC Soni; and HS Tiwari, previously group general manager at Nazira, becomes Cambay asset manager replacing Singha Roy.
