Concern over high staff attrition rates and measures to retain key personnel will be high on the agenda of discussions during ONGC’s annual strategy meeting in Agra this weekend on 25th and 26th August.

Attended by all ministry officials of joint secretary rank and above, plus ONGC directors, the two-day jamboree against the backdrop of the world famous Taj Mahal will hear presentations on nine key areas. Among these will be how to enhance production from ageing fields; how to improve the recovery factor of producing assets; introduction of new technology; investing in alternative sources of energy; and ONGC’s â€کintegrated’ projects.

RS Butola, managing director of ONGC Videsh, will be present to provide details about the company’s overseas activities. ONGC has also added a discussion topic about its refinery business (Mangalore Refinery).

Last year ONGC held a similar strategy meeting at Gurgaon in Haryana on July 15th and 16th.
