Two ONGC research institutes are set to sign MOUs with peer bodies in Canada.

The Institute of Reservoir Studies (IRS) - based in Ahmedabad - and the University of Calgary will sign an agreement for Air injection' technology used in Enhanced Oil Recovery projects, for use at the Bombay High and Enhanced Oil Recovery projects in the Cambay basin. A second MOU is also expected between the Keshava Deva Malviya Institute of Petroleum Exploration (KDIMPE) in Dehra Dun and the Alberta Research Council for technology related to threshold belt seismic acquisition, reservoir management, production of heavy oil, wax precipitation and thermal dynamics of gas hydrates.
