Naik will inaugurate Bombay High (South) development

Oil minister Ram Naik will inaugurate the start of a long-awaited re-development programme for the Bombay High (South) during a visit to Mumbai.

A source tells Petrowatch Naik is scheduled "to spud" the first well of the re-development programme on the 'EE' platform at Bombay High (South) on 8th June. ONGC reckons it can recover an additional 45.58m tonnes of oil and gas reserves fromBombay High (South) and has set aside an estimated Rs6,000cr (1.32bn) for the programme.

Earlier this year Naik inaugurated a Rs2,000cr ($440m) re-development programme for the Bombay High (North).
