11 shortlisted for ONGC dir. HR

Vol 21, PW 22 (09 Aug 18) News in Brief

Months of uncertainty over the date for the ONGC director HR interviews have come to an end.

Interviews will be held on August 23 and 11 shortlisted candidates have been asked to send in Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for the past 10 years and disclose any vigilance investigation against them before then. On August 6, the PESB wrote to ONGC listing 11 candidates it wants to interview for this position, vacant since June 30 when DD Misra retired: executive director SSC Parthiban, group general managers Sanjeev Kakran and Alka Mittal plus general managers Manoj Barthwal and Somesh Ranjan are on the list.

So too are Oil India chief general manager Narendra Vashisht and MRPL chief general manager Lekshmi M Kumaran. Most surprising is the inclusion of Airports Authority of India member HR Anuj Aggarwal and executive director HR Sanjay Jain; Indian Railway Personnel Service officers Sandip Trivedi and S.

Balachandra Iyer are also on the list. Notable by their absence are ONGC's MS Tonk and IOC's Umakant Prasad Singh.

"By September we should know who will lead the HR team," says a source.
