Vol 20, PW 21 (13 Jul 17) News in Brief

ONGC will soon have several new faces on its Board following the imminent retirement of chairman DK Sarraf and three directors.

On July 3 the PESB began searching for a suitable candidate to replace director finance AK Srinivasan who retires on November 1 from the post he's held since September 23, 2015. Next day (July 4) the PESB published two separate advertisements on its website inviting CVs to replace director offshore TK Sengupta who retires on December 31 from the post he's held since February 1, 2014 and director onshore VP Mahawar who retires on February 28, 2018 from the role he's held since August 2, 2015.

All director finance applications must reach the PESB by September 7 while any director offshore and onshore CVs must reach by September 12. "Lots of people have been waiting for these advertisements," says an ONGC source.

"ONGC's selection process is like a ritual." Also awaited is a PESB advertisement to replace director technology and field services Shashi Shanker who on June 19 was selected to replace Sarraf who steps down on October 1. Also retiring is director human resources DD Misra, but next year (2018) on June 30.
