Trafigura delivers second Kochi 're-load'

Petronet-LNG’s ill-fated 5m t/y Kochi terminal is shedding its misfortune and received a second 're-load' from Dutch trader Trafigura on Sunday (April 5) in a short span of just 20 days.

Marshall Islands flagged Golar Snow brought in a standard size ‘re-load’ from Singapore LNG terminal to Kochi on April 7. Trafigura plans to supply this cargo to Kuwait Petroleum.

On March 18, Trafigura reloaded a cargo on LNG tanker Corcovado for discharge at Kuwait’s Mina Al Ahmadi port where the 170,000-cubic metres tanker Golar Igloo is stationed as a FSRU. Trafigura brought this cargo to Kochi from Yemen LNG on February 26 through Total Gas & Power.

GAIL last month (March) issued a tender to source seven spot LNG cargoes between October 2015 and December 2016 for delivery to Dabhol and Dahej. GAIL will pay 10% of the three month average Brent crude price prior to the month of delivery plus a yet to be agreed ‘fixed premium.
