Vol 18, PW 8 (04 Dec 14) News in Brief

Eleven companies purchased tender documents by ONGC’s November 25 deadline for the C-26 pipeline tender, re-issued after lowest bidder Essar refused to lower its rate.

A pre-bid will be held on December 5. Companies who bought documents include Swiber Singapore, Swiber Mumbai, Valentine Marine, Leighton Contractors, Megha Engineering, Supreme Offshore, TL Offshore, McDermott, Kencana HL, L&T and Pipavav Defence & Offshore.

ONGC wants 11.4-km of subsea pipeline of various diameters interconnecting the C-26, B-12-1 and C-23 fields off Mumbai to carry ‘well fluids’; 37-km of 20-inch diameter pipeline to carry gas from the C-24P1 platform to the TCPP process platform (to be taken over from the PMT consortium); 3.3-km of 12-inch diameter pipeline for water injection in the Neelam and Heera fields; and 15-km of 16-inch diameter pipeline to carry gas and well fluids in the Bassein and Satellite fields. The bid deadline is December 19.
