ONGC marginal fields deadline extended

Vol 10, PW 7 (27 Jul 06) News in Brief

Companies interested in ONGCs ongoing onland marginal fields tender can relax.

PETROWATCH learns the 11th August closing date for the tender is most likely to be extended. A notice to this effect is expected from ONGC sometime next week postponing the tender closing date to end-August.

Sixteen companies had bought tender documents by the 30th June closing date for purchase of bid documents: Deep Industries, Assam Company, Hydrocarbon Resources, ASM Shipping, Premier Oil, Alpha Geo, Warden Oil and Gas, Bharat Petroleum, BG Shirke, Naftogaz, Kersos Maritime, Hindustan Oil Exploration, Shiv Vani, Hardy Exploration and Production, IPS and HAL Offshore. All except Deep Industries attended a pre-bid meeting held by ONGC in Mumbai on 12th July.

ONGC is offering service contracts for 18 onland marginal fields spread across Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. This is ONGCs third marginal fields tender and the second for onland fields.
