Vajpayee signs visitors book at Petronas HQ

Vol 5, PW 7 (23 May 01) News in Brief

Indian Oil and Petronas of Malaysia have extended by five years a 'Memorandum of Collaboration' to work jointly in India.

The extension was agreed during a four-day visit to Malaysia this month by prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. Indian Oil and Petronas are equal partners in Indian Oil Petronas, a joint venture set up in 1998 to build a $55m LPG import facility at Haldia.

Petronas also wants to export LNG to the Indian Oil led consortium developing the Kakinada LNG terminal. (Click below photo of PM at Twin Towers) http://www.pib.
