Ten companies buy NELP-II exploration data

By Monday 26th March the following ten companies had bought data of acreage under round two of the New Exploration Licensing Policy.

Reliance Oil India Premier Oil Pan Canadian Niko Resources Gujarat State Petroleum TotalFinaElf BHP Petroleum Indian Oil Corporation ONGC British Gas, Tullow Oil, Cairn Energy and Hardy Exploration examined acreage but decided not to buy data.It's rumoured that Reliance will bid with a "foreign multinational with extensive deepwater experience".

The deadline for bids is Saturday 31st March at the office of the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons in Delhi.
