Ex-Adani-Total GA head to IRM
IRM Energy is scouting for talented staff to join its city gas operations.
Take Vivek Kanasagra who joins the Ahmedabad-based gas retailer on June 24 (2024). According to a company source, Kanasagra has been appointed as the GA (geographical area) head of Diu and Gir Somnath in southwest Gujarat.
Kanasagra is presently with Adani Cement at Ahmedabad as project procurement manager, but before that was the GA head of Porbandar, awarded to Adani-Total Gas in CGD-IX on September 26 (2018). On May 21 (2024), IRM also announced the appointment of a new female director, a post vacant since Geeta Goradia resigned as an independent director on January 6 (2024), just days after company promoter and Cadila Pharmaceuticals chairman Rajiv Modi was accused of rape by a Bulgarian flight attendant on his private jet.
"Based upon the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board has approved the appointment of (Ms) Kaushal Nakrani as an additional woman director (non-executive, independent) of the company for three consecutive years with effect from June 1 (2024) to May 31 (2027)," reads the announcement. Nakrani has been an advocate in the Gujarat High Court for over 24 years.
IRM has four authorised areas: Banaskantha in north Gujarat won on July 1 (2016) and Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab won on July 5 (2016) in CGD-VI; Diu and Gir Somnath in Gujarat won on September 25 (2018) in CGD-IX; and Namakkal and Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu won on March 15 (2022) under CGD-X. In January, February and March 2024, IRM registered total gas sales volumes of 46.79m cubic metres.
