Cairn India has extended the deadlines for two composite drilling tenders at its producing Rajasthan block RJ-ON-90/1.

The new deadline for the additional development drilling tender at the Mangala, Bhagyam and Aishwariya fields is September 14 and for the integrated exploration services tender September 21. Bids for both were earlier due on August 31.

Cairn issued the modified Mangala tender around July 21 to shortlisted bidders GE-Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Schlumberger and Halliburton and held a pre-bid on July 31 at its Gurgaon office. In the original tender, Cairn wanted bids by July 31 for drilling, completing and multi-phase fracturing of 30 development wells at Bhagyam.

Now the modified tender includes the Mangala and Aishwariya fields where Cairn wants 87 development wells drilled, completed and multi-phase fractured to extract oil from tight reservoirs. Whoever wins must mobilise rigs and equipment within four months of the LoA and complete the assignment within two years.

In the earlier specs the assignment was to be completed within three years.
