GAIL chairman Proshanto Banerjee has protested to the oil ministry that he is not receiving copies of important minutes from meetings that impact GAIL.

On 3rd December, Banerjee wrote to oil secretary Sushil Tripathi that the minutes of important meetings chaired by the minister or the secretary are not being circulated to GAIL. To press home the point, the GAIL chairman listed three such meetings: meeting on equity participation in Haldia Petrochemicals on 24th August, meeting on line pipe specification in the tender for Dahej to Uran pipeline on 27th September, and meeting on Ennore LNG terminal on 3rd November.

He said GAIL had not received the minutes of these meetings. During these meetings, critical decisions are taken based on key observations made by all concerned, said Banerjee.

These decisions have a significant impact on the long-term growth and profitability of the concerned companies.
