Halliburton and Schlumberger win ONGC contract

Vol 5, PW 4 (11 Apr 01) News in Brief

Halliburton and Schlumberger have together won a $125m logging, perforating, testing and memory slick line services contract from ONGC's Mumbai Regional Business Centre.

The Letter of Award was issued on March 15th. Halliburton got 60% of the contract and Schlumberger the rest.

The three-year contract covers 28 offshore units - 24 rigs and four unmanned platforms - in the offshore Mumbai region. Last time around the ratio was reversed, with Schlumberger getting the larger share.

Announcement of the award - initially scheduled for December last year - was delayed by several months for reasons unclear.
