State-owned gas retailers sweep CGD-X

This government is in a hurry: after receiving bids for CGD-X on February 5 results began leaking out from the PNGRB by February 20.

State-owned gas retailers have won 23 of the 32 areas for which results are likely to be officially announced after a PNGRB meeting scheduled for February 22. IOC has won the maximum number with nine areas.

It won five in Bihar: Araria, Purnia, Katihar and Kishanganj; Arwal, Jehanabad, Bhojpur and Buxar; Khagaria, Saharsa and Madhepura; Lakhisarai, Munger and Bhagalpur; and Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Saran and Samastipur. It also won two areas straddling Bihar and Jharkhand: Nawada and Koderma; and Sheikhpura, Jamui and Deoghar.

And two in Madhya Pradesh: Ashoknagar and Morena. GAIL Gas won four areas: Seraikela-Kharsawan and West Singhbhum, both in Jharkhand; Raisen, Shajapur and Sehore in Madhya Pradesh; and Mirzapur, Chandauli and Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh.

HPCL won four areas, Gujarat Gas won three, Bharat Gas Resources won two and Rajasthan State Gas won one. Torrent won three, Indraprastha Gas and Adani Gas each won two and Think Gas and IOAGPL won one each.
