Petronet-LNG looking for auditor to improve efficiency

Petronet-LNG is on the lookout for an internal auditor and has begun holding talks with KPMG, Ernst & Young and PriceWaterhouseCoopers "They have decided to choose one of us," one of the three hopefuls tells this report.

The successful firm will need to scan through Petronet LNG's procurement and accounting procedures and suggest ways and means to make them more efficient. "With the Dahej project now half complete the Petronet-LNG management wants to carry out an internal audit," reveals a source.

"It is more of a management decision than a mandatory requirement." It's not clear when Petronet-LNG will make its choice of auditor. Elsewhere, Petronet-LNG is getting ready to sign a Gas Sale Purchase Agreement with its offtakers BPCL, GAIL and Indian Oil.
