Relianceآ’s offshore Orissa block holds 960bn in-place gas

Reliance has released estimates of initial in-place gas at the NEC-OSN-97/2 block offshore Orissa where last month it announced a significant discovery.

Reliance last month told the oil ministry that the three discoveries at the NELP-1 block hold a total of 960bn cubic feet of initial in place gas. ONGC had drilled about 60 dry wells on this block before it went to Reliance.
