Rajasthan hunts for CGD consultants

Vol 19, PW 22 (14 Jul 16) News in Brief

Unlike neighbouring Gujarat, Rajasthan's gas infrastructure is woefully underdeveloped with only a single network in Kota city.

Rajasthan State Gas, a joint venture of Gail Gas and Rajasthan State Petroleum Corporation, wants to change that and on July 12, 2016 invited EoIs from city gas consultants for a range of CGD services: finance, taxation, internal audits, bank reconciliations, project finance, financial appraisal, project management, engineering, procurement, contracts, material management, pre-feasibility studies, bidding advisory, market research and the commissioning of CGD networks. Anyone interested has until July 27 to submit EoIs.

Rajasthan Gas is preparing as it has bid for state capital Jaipur and tourist hotspot Udaipur under the seventh gas licensing round launched on March 31. It is also setting up a CNG corridor of up to five stations along the Delhi to Jaipur highway.

Rajasthan Gas supplies 22,000 cm/d to Kota, the only area in Rajasthan granted a CGD licence.
